In commemorating Malaysia’s Independence Day 61 years ago, we at Institut Sultan Iskandar would like to extend celebratory Merdeka wishes to all citizens of Malaysia this 31st August! Let’s all celebrate the unity of our diverse cultures and traditions, as well as continue to strive for the freedom of Malaysia and move forward together as a nation. We love you, Malaysia.

As part of the yearly Datum: KL conference, the inaugural Datum: EDU conference was a one-day event that seeked to explore the different methods of pedagogical approaches and formats of institutions and academies across the region and internationally. How does architectural education keep track with the changes in our contexts and circumstances to remain relevant in an age of the contingent. Delegates from South East Asia (ASEAN region), Malaysia and internationally gathered to meet, network and discuss current issues on architectural education and its direction. The DATUM: EDU event was held on 4 July 2O18 from 9 am to 6 pm at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Both our Executive Director and Deputy Director were presenters during the event.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Muslim friends a blessed Aidilfitri and to those who are travelling during the holidays, we hope you have a safe trip.
