Tuesday, 5 July 2022 - An Honorarium Giving Ceremony was held this afternoon as token of appreciation to the involved researchers. This ceremony marks the completion of the Development of the Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) Main Campus Master Plan that has been delivered in 2021. The ceremony is also held in conjunction with the Special Book Chapter Workshop focusing on academic discourse and thinking behind the decision making to form the IUIU Main Campus Master Plan. Thank you to all UTM's researchers who have contributed to this research project.

Riverbank squatter settlements are commonly found in the urban area of many developing countries. Some of these settlements existed long before the rapid development of the city.
However, these 'squatters' settlement are often times considered illegal, thus these settlements are prone to the exclusion of many crucial facilities. In addition, their interactions with the surrounding environment also inadvertently leaves an impact on the sustainability of the river.
But there is life with every community. Thus the topic at hand is a complex issue where approach from various dimensions will be the most favourable.
Institut Sultan Iskandar (ISI) has initiated a series of dialogue and discourse with our potential partners from Japan and Indonesia to look into possible initiatives for future understanding and improvements.
May this initiative become one of the many little steps that can be taken for our society and environment to be part of a better and more sustainable world.

18 Mei 2022, Johor Bahru – Dalam usaha ISI memanifestasikan Sustainable Development Program (ISI-SDP), Program Asas Pembangunan Mampan dalam Pengurusan Tanah telah dijalankan di Pulai Springs Resort dengan jayanya. Program ini telah dibangunkan dengan kerjasama Pejabat Tanah Johor dan mensasarkan pemerkasaan keupayaan petugas-petugas sektor tanah awam terutama sekali petugas di bahagian lapangan dan operasi agar kualiti pengendalian dan pengurusan tanah dapat dipertingkatkan melalui gerak kerja asas Pembangunan Mampan. Pihak Institut Sultan Iskandar merakamkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada semua wakil Pejabat Tanah yang hadir dari seluruh pelusuk negeri Johor ke program berkenaan. Semoga ilmu yang diperolehi bermanfaat sejajar dengan 17 Matlamat Pembangunan Lestari (SDG).

On Tuesday, 11 January 2022, the Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM), a subsidiary of CIDB Malaysia, visited Institut Sultan Iskandar in Kuala Lumpur. The Special Officer, Sr Yusrin Faiz represents CREAM inviting ISIKL to embark on the APEC Cities and Built Environments Strategy on Building Back Better in the Post COVID 19 research project. The project is in its initial stage. ISIKL represented by Deputy Director II, Dr Wan Nurul Mardiah Bt Wan Mohd Rani, Business Research Executive (BRE), Noor Ismah Bt Hashim and Dr Khairul Hisyam from FTIR.
