ISI UTM has partnered with the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) and Bukit Puchong low-cost housing residents to jointly develop on a Rejuvenation Project at Bandar Bukit Puchong Low-Cost Flats. This program is an effort to transform low-income community towards building quality neighbourhood spaces through inclusive planning involving all its community members. More importantly, this rejuvenation programme leads to "community empowerment" with intend to inculcate a new community that is self-reliant in developing their neighbourhood agenda.

The launch of the project was officially opened on 30 June 2018 by MPSJ President, Hajah Noraini bin Roslan, in conjunction with the celebration of the Hari Raya celebration. This community rejuvenation program will be initiated by building block C space as the Pilot Project which is expected to act as an example to the next projects. The Pilot Project Planning is implemented from grassroots by involving the community to create a sense of ownership and common interest.

The head of the project, Assoc Prof Dr Gurupiah Mursib, is targeting the construction of a community-based cooperation in October and will involve the participation of about 30 students who attend the Community Service Learning program from Faculty of Architecture, UTM Skudai. Construction of the Pilot Project is expected to spend about RM250,000.00.
