Kuching, Sarawak, 14 December 2023 – A training course on Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Data Processing and Mapping, organised by the Land Surveyors Board Sarawak, took place from 12 to 14 December 2023, at the Imperial Hotel in Kuching, Sarawak. This collaborative initiative, hosted by Institut Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM-ISI), brought together experts and enthusiasts in the field.
The program was led by trainers from the Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying, UTM showcased the expertise of key figures such as Assoc. Prof. Sr Dr. Abdullah Hisam bin Omar, Dr. Norhadija binti Darwin, Dr. Wan Anom binti Wan Aris and Ts. Sr Dr. Muhammad Zulkarnain Abd Rahman. These experts played a crucial role in delivering a transformative course aimed at boosting participants’ knowledge and skills in UAS data processing and mapping.
The comprehensive curriculum covered a spectrum of topics, including the latest advancements in UAS technology, data processing techniques, and practical applications in mapping. Participants had the opportunity to learn from leading experts and gain hands-on experience in integrating UAS into land surveying methodologies.
