UTM-ISI Institut Sultan Iskandar - Institut Sultan Iskandar

Institut Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia which focuses on sustainability, was recently awarded the prestigious Hasanah Special Grant 2022 under the 'Environment' impact area. This grant recognizes ISI's proposal for the 'Plastic-Free Market' project that will positively impact society. The project 'Plastic-Free Market' aims to reduce single-use plastic in daily life, especially during shopping for groceries at the public market.
Engagement with local communities and local authorities seems to be the main route to success for this project. We thank Yayasan Hasanah for selecting us as one of their partners, funding this project and working towards more sustainable development with the local communities. We would also like to thank Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) for their support in working together to benefit the community. This recognition is a testament to ISI-UTM's commitment to excellence and its contributions to creating a more sustainable future.
