AP Dr Syed Ahmad Iskandar Syed Ariffin attends in a 3-day workshop to revise the Manual of Accreditation for Architecture Programme, and on to prepare the new Manual of Accreditation for Interior Design Programme. He is a senior member of Council of Architectural Accreditation & Education (CAAEM), also known as Majlis Akreditasi Program Senibina Malaysia (MAPS). Previously he led a team of professional and academics to help Board of Architects Malaysia develop and publish The Manual of Accreditation of Architecture Programme (2013), a very important policy outlining the standards of architecture degree programme in the country. The workshop was organised by the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) from 22- 24 September 2017 at the Dorsett Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. 

Site Meeting on the project PILsTM KPT BOS for Kolej Komuniti Sibu branch was held on Wednesday, 27 September 2017. 



Commencing today, September 3, 2017, until September 5, 2017, the Executive Director, Assoc Prof. Dr. Syed Ahmad Iskandar Syed Ariffin will be attending the UIA 2017 Seoul World Architects Congress held in Seoul, Korea. He was invited as a speaker for Special Session for Southeast Asian Houses: Expanding Tradition and will deliver a speech entitled “Gender Equality in Malay Building Tradition”.

The seven International Visiting Scholars selected to investigate Malaysia’s sustainable city development in 2017-2018 have arrived in Malaysia to begin their research. They will spend 5 months in Malaysia and 4 months in MIT. The MSCP is housed in CoLab at MIT and the Institut Sultan Iskandar (ISI) at UTM. 

Site Possession for Kolej Komuniti Sibu was succesfully commenced yesterday on 14th August 2017, and expected to be completed by the end of September 2017. Kolej Komuniti Sibu branch is one of the denoted site out of 10 Kolej Komuniti expansion programme in PILsTM KPT-BOS project.
